Flu Clinics
What is the flu?
Influenza (“flu”)
is a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat and lungs
and usually occurs in the winter month and can cause sever
illness. Influenza is spread easily from person to person
when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Influenza can lead to
hospitalization or even death, especially the elderly.
With this year's flu season fast approaching, VNA Health at Home is
making preparations to ensure that our community is protected. Our
annual flu clinics provide low-cost flu vaccinations to area residents.
Clinics are being offered at local public locations from early September
through November. The flu vaccine can prevent influenza.

Associations of America and The Clorox Company teamed up for the
Say "Boo!" to the Flu program, a
national campaign to increase the number of families vaccinated
nationwide and educate them on other simple prevention tricks –
like hand washing and disinfecting germ hot spots – to help
families have a healthier flu season. Click

treating your family to a healthier flu season.
